To implement Food Safety properly, being due diligent takes time and dedication. It can take minimum 12 to 18 months to properly implement a management system depending on the industry and system being implemented.

Internal Audits

Competent  Internal Auditors

We have competent, trained internal auditors available to conduct your internal audits on an annual basis. Our auditors have a wide range of retail experience including Pick 'n Pay, Checkers, Spar (FSA Intertek audit); Woolworth's (IBL audit) and SABS certification audit. 


The template can be customised to suit your requirements or those of your retail customer. The Internal Audit will encompass reviewing of your system manual with policies; a facility inspection and a traceability exercise. A comprehensive report will be written.

Pre-Requisite Programs (PRP's)

SANS 10049 FSM - Requirements PRP's; IS0 22 000-1 PRP's; R638 Hygiene requirements; GMP's; R146 Labelling regulations; FCDA.

Assistance with, but not limited to: 

  1. Supplier Quality Assurance: drawing up of "Supplier and Raw Material Risk Assessments". This will help to identify any risks that could impact the food safety of our products. Food safety documents of the supplier and raw material will help us to assess any possible risks. 

  2. Allergens: risk assessments to be done on raw materials, final products and processes. Allergen swabs to confirm cleaning efficacy.

  3. Cleaning and Sanitation: Drawing up of Master Cleaning Schedule and corresponding Cleaning work instructions. 

  4. Laboratory testing: to support the Food Safety System according to risk. 

  5. Food security: incorporating Food Defense and Food Fraud. Comprehensive Threat and Vulnerability Assessments need to be completed.
